AT THAT TIME
In my independent project At That Time, I use found objects and sound to investigate the role of sensory experiences in nostalgia. I play with props to symbolize a series of events. The table functions as a stage, capturing the quick fragility of life. My tabletop choreography follows the rhythm of an edited, layered audio track of David Bowie's Let’s Dance. Print materials (script and playbill) provide context for this conceptual performance: two matriarchs witness a 1980s Americana courtship be interrupted by family tragedy.
